This draft is being circulated by the Commission as part of the first phase of engagement with key stakeholders in the development of a Strategy for Preventing Gambling Harm in the ACT, using a public health approach. Key stakeholders include government, gambling industry and community service sectors.

The aims of this document are to:

  1. Propose the ACT’s overarching Strategy for preventing gambling harm;
  2. Promote collaboration and shared expectations;
  3. Co-ordinate the approach across stakeholders and over time; and
  4. Ensure the final Strategy is meaningful and practical.

It is envisaged that the final Strategy will guide the delivery of activities over a five year period, from 2019-20 to 2024-25.
