The Commission established the Gambling Harm Prevention Community of Practice in July 2022.
This initiative allows members to share learnings, build understanding and collaborate on gambling harm education, prevention, early intervention, counselling and referral activities across the ACT.

Who can join?
The Community of Practice is open to local community and primary health care workers with an interest in gambling harm. This includes individuals from government, health, education, community and advocacy services.
There are currently 22 local organisations participating in this Community of Practice, including:
- ACT Council of Social Services
- ACT Multicultural Advisory Council
- Alcohol Tobacco and Other Drug Association ACT
- Canberra Gambling Reform Alliance
- Menslink
- Office for Mental Health and Wellbeing, ACT Health
- Youth Coalition of the ACT
- A wide range of community service organisations
