The Getting Played program is flexible, allowing schools choice in how they use it.

The main classroom resource includes:

Below is a short summary of what’s included in the classroom resource.

How to use the classroom resources

Your school can use the Getting Played lessons in different ways. You can teach the whole program in wellbeing, social emotional learning, or pastoral care classes for students in Years 7 to 10.

Or, your school might choose to teach parts of the program in different subjects. For example, Section 4 focuses on maths, and has special worksheets for Year 8 and Year 9 students.

Your school might also decide to teach the program over a few years. This means students see the messages more than once and remember them better.

To help your school plan how to teach the program, you can use the Classroom Resource Blueprint. It provides details on each section of the slideshow and each worksheet. This includes how long they take and which subjects they link to.

You can also use the lesson planning templates to help get started.
